Colombian midfielder Juan Carlos Toja revealed Thursday he is set to quit MLS side FC Dallas for Romanian first division side Steaua Bucharest.
"I've reached agreement, the clubs have agreed, all that's left is to sign," the 23-year-old Toja told the sports daily Gazeta Sporturilor.
Toja said he expected to sign his contract on Saturday in Bucharest where he will attend a friendly between Steaua and AS Roma.
"I want to play in Europe because it's the only way to play in the Colombian national team," said Toja, who has only played for the national U-20 side during his time with Independiente Santa Fe.
He joined Argentinian club River Plate in January 2006, and after failing to feature signed a year later for FC Dallas. |
